About Mr. Collier
After graduating from Purdue University, I began teaching in the Midwest (Indiana and Illinois)in 2002. I have had the opportunity to teach 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in the classroom. I also spent a number of years as a K-8 school librarian. In addition to teaching, I enjoy coaching and watching baseball (Kansas City Royals) and soccer (Germany and Newcastle United). This year will mark my second year as both the PHHS boys soccer coach and the PHMS baseball coach. I am an avid reader and a big Sci-Fi and comic book (DC) fan. Some of my favorite young adult authors include JK Rowling, John Flanagan, and John Grisham's Theodore Boone series. My favorite authors to relax with are Dan Brown, MItch Albom, and Timothy Zahn.
My family and I moved to Surprise in 2006 and have some great experiences in the community and with Paradise Schools. My wife, Kelly, has joined the Paradise Family this year as an Occupational Therapist. I have four kids: Zack, Joey, Jillian, and Allie. Our dog, Sadie, rounds out our family.
I am looking forward to a great year!
